Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you book coaching or a workshop with Sophie Winby. Part A applies if you are booking for yourself, Part B if you are booking on behalf of an organisation, and Part C applies to everyone.

Part A — For individuals

The service

One-to-one coaching is delivered in person in London or online, usually as a twelve-week programme of scheduled sessions agreed between us in advance.

Booking and payment

A place is confirmed once the programme fee, or the first agreed instalment, has been paid. Fees are quoted before you commit and do not change during a programme.

Rescheduling and cancellation

• More than 48 hours’ notice — a session can be moved at no cost.
• Less than 48 hours’ notice — the session is treated as delivered.
• If I cancel — the session is rescheduled at a time that suits you, or refunded.

Your part in the work

Coaching works best when you attend prepared and practise between sessions. I cannot do that part for you, and progress depends on it.

Part B — For organisations

Scope of work

Workshops are scoped in writing before booking: dates, duration, format, group size and objectives. Anything outside that scope is agreed separately.

Fees and invoicing

Fees are confirmed in the written proposal. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Changes and cancellation

• More than 14 days before the date — the booking can be moved at no cost.
• 7 to 14 days before — 50% of the fee is payable.
• Less than 7 days before — the full fee is payable.

Participants and venue

You are responsible for confirming the participant list, providing a suitable room and equipment for in-person sessions, and for a working video link online.

Part C — For everyone

Confidentiality

What is said in a session stays in the session. I do not report individual performance back to an employer, and I do not name clients without permission.

Materials and intellectual property

Handouts, frameworks and recordings I provide remain my intellectual property. You may use them for your own purposes, but not resell or republish them.

Outcomes and limits

This is skills coaching, not therapy or medical treatment. I work hard on your behalf, but I cannot guarantee a specific outcome in any particular room.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, my liability is limited to the fees paid for the work in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date. The terms in force when you book are the ones that apply to that booking.
